Večer is a regional daily newspaper for eastern Slovenia. You can uplad a photo pro week on internet edition of newspaper. Every week master of photography choose one photo, that came out in printed version with a short description and critics. Today I was very surprised at the morning when I saw my photo in papers. I forgot that I upload it on Večer site too. Photo named 'Chairs IV' was made during my work in Regional Museum in Ptuj's castle in year 2003. Summer evenings was fullfield with cultural events in castles yard. There was concerts, theatre, dancing...h
Daytime rutine with guidance of tourist was sometimes boring to me. I lookes at the yard and chairs for event visitors for hours. So it was quite natural to me to take few photos of chairs. I made abstraction out of repetitive shape. Some people flattert to me with comparison with master Esher.
This photos was never printed yet, The seria of about 6 diferent chairs shots was allready published on site www.photo.net, but I ever try to push this piece of my artwork.
Last week I took from archive photo Chairs IV and upoad it on some diverse photosites, Photoforum, Stern-photogallery, photo-arena, Slo-photo.net...It get very good critics, almost all was excelent. At slo-photo.net it came even on no.2 at Top of the week. !! ?? I was pleasantly surprised, becouse mostly people give ratings to some flowers and pictures of little dogs and landscapes...My photo is obvious abstraction with no-message. Its empty in budhist point of word.
I get event a proposal for salig a photo. So yesterday I took a drive to my cousin Davorin, who has a firm with laser printing mashines and ploter, etc, and prepared scan for nice big prints in format 50 x 75 cm.
This morning I was confused. But I think I would handle it.
A friend Mojca ask me if my friends would begin to need VIP cards to get me, becouse things happening. Last week an interview on Radio, talking about photography. Next week festival of clasical Guitar, and I prepared posters for it. At friday photoshooting on concert of popular rock-band Siddharta in Maribor.
