Interesting idea. I like the overall composition but I think the road on the bottom distracts a bit. The image seems a bit flat perhaps a curve adjusment and boost of saturation would help a bit. Nice image though.

Yes, a saturation boost would help here.
You could also try out my polarising tutorial (and adapt it somewhat) to try on the sky and water regions. Boop. |

Good composition and placing of the elementsbut the lightning destroys everything that was good about the image. I think either shooting in the dark or at another time of year would fix this.
Or try dusk/dawn.
