I like this work a lot, although I see no direct connection of the two images (the burst of light and the elf). In painting this is usually done either by overlaying one on the other (like you see in good movie posters) or by having some sort of mental connection (one person looking at object). Any of the two techniques would work here, ty it out.

Thank you both for your critques on this one. This is one of my favorites. Honestly though, I'm glad you noticed the disconnection. For it's exactly what this peice is about. See because the elf is disconnected from the land of dreams( the burst of light). He is disconnected from everything he knew. However the burst of light also sorta represents hope. Perhaps there is a better way for me to portray this ? If you have any suggestions I would welcome them. " border="0" alt="icon_smile.gif" />
