Apart from the heavily noticeable retouching in the part of the human I really like the image. The color gradienting is great and the silhuettes are very well done.

hm, lombi's eye is a bit better than mine, i didn't notice the lightening up of the man's siloutte until reading it... but he's right, i'de just ignore the guy all together, the tree is what is beautiful.

I agree with your sugestions, and can only say that I was too easy satisfied with my result in PS. It could be done better. Take this as a scetch.
