Some thing more like a classic. A lamp with a great shadow! This was taken in Poland on castle Wawel.

the subject is precise in the middle, what makes the image not very interesting...

What if the shadow is the subject?
Thanks for comment!

To me it looks perfect. How can you be so sure the shadow is the focal point, you're probably just agreeing with him. I think It must have been a perfect shot and the lamp seemed somewhat isolated and pretty standing alone, with the perfect amount of sunlight that made you take the picture.
The way the sun hits the lamp made me, my face, have a droopy look: like, ah! that was my reaction. the lamp kind of reminds me of a person. Alone and the way the sunlight hit it made me feel sad. I love what nature does to things, as if it's trying to send a message somehow by it's own natural powers. Sorry I got carried away is just something about this picture, I really love it.. NICE jobie!! + + tIL dEatH DUe Us pARt + + +

M-tic,
I like the color. Also, the black frame around the image is very nice with the main subject of black lamp, which unifies the entire image. The straight line of shadow from the top to the bottom behind the lamp is a distraction to me. The line is located at the very middle and divides the image into two. Plus it crosses the center of the lamp and overlaps the chain of the lamp, which I would have avoided in the image since the lamp is the main subject ( or is the shadow really the subject as you mentioned previously? ...but the title is “Lamp”... Humm Anyway, it's a very interesting piece |
