Id check this guy out. I seen his work on a herp. fourm im on. Stuff is pertty good

With a little more practice.. You'd be a pro.. I'd say thumb up! could do better.. More shading maybe.. and accurate curves .

Jonathan, here is some advice for you.
Composition: The empty space above the head is too much. A big amount of empty space tends to become dead space unless the direction of the subject is towards the space or the subject is looking at the space. Value of Shading: Direction of the light source is unclear and the outline is too strong, which causes the whole image to be flat. Adding some shadows and highlights would help. Observe the model (frog) and find where is darkest and lightest values are on the subject and add them to the drawing. Then it will help make it look more three-dimensional in quality. Tip: To get the correct shape and proportions, measurement is important. Good luck |
