Nice details, especially on the sepals (?), but the composition is very traditional - maybe try something a bit more daring " border="0" alt="icon_smile.gif" />

Thanks, i kind of agree. Any suggestions would be great. I've seen these pics many times and this is a first for me, and i'm very pleased with the result but any kind of idea would be used......although it will have to be soon because these flowers don't last....??

Well - I assume it's a digital camera, so just go nuts with angles " border="0" alt="icon_biggrin.gif" />

Nice. Did you place a white canvas behind the flower before you took the shot?

Very nice, but I think backlighting would achieve some great results in this image due to translucency of the petals.

Thanks Leon/Lombi and the rest.

Leon, yes i did use a white backdrop then in raw i used the curves line to give me as white as i could get. The camera viewer looks nice and white but i think maybe in the RAW setting it goes grey, i think this is the 18% grey that film reads,(just a guess) so i have to push to get it back to near the white i'm after.

Someone may have a better theory than me......??
