Nice details, especially on the sepals (?), but the composition is very traditional - maybe try something a bit more daring

Thanks, i kind of agree. Any suggestions would be great. I've seen these pics many times and this is a first for me, and i'm very pleased with the result but any kind of idea would be used......although it will have to be soon because these flowers don't last....??

Very nice, but I think backlighting would achieve some great results in this image due to translucency of the petals.

Thanks Leon/Lombi and the rest.
Leon, yes i did use a white backdrop then in raw i used the curves line to give me as white as i could get. The camera viewer looks nice and white but i think maybe in the RAW setting it goes grey, i think this is the 18% grey that film reads,(just a guess) so i have to push to get it back to near the white i'm after. Someone may have a better theory than me......?? |
