I like art because it's one of the best forms of communicating emotion. I believe people express a deeper level of emotion in art.

I get to express how I feel. Instead of kicking and yelling, art helps me find my inner peace.

It brings about creativity in all those that express themselves through it...and that's a good thing!

I paint in oils. Many of my paintings are in my home and in friends/families homes. Mostly, I like seascapes... I like the serenity of painting ocean swells with seagulls gliding over them. It's relaxing and the colors used are soothing.

Not to be negative or anything, but honestly I never really got in to art. I'm not very creative and I like things as simple and neat (aka boring) as possible. But that's just me though.

i like art because it in an interpretive subject. it doesnt require alot of studying such as the case with maths and sciences. it all comes from the heart. you either have it, or you dont. unlike other subjects where you study and learn to know more, in art, you study yourself. your likelihood, your inspirations, and your soul. translate what you find into a song, a painting, a photograph, a sculputure, whatever you want. it is the most rewarding feeling ever. that's why i like art.

Personally, I've always hated art class. I have nothing against art itself, I am just so terribly bad at doing art myself. I'm never taking art class again.

haha. So...I guess I can't really answer this question....

Because it is a universal way of expressing oneselve. The arts, visual, musical etc do not need language or words to communicate. It is inspiring and a wonderful way to exercise your brain.

art is a multi disciplinary approach- you utilise skills in maths (proportion), science (alchemy), english (creative expression and art history), not to mention all the other skills! I swapped my degree from a very straight education to art because of this! You get to feel your work and express things you would never be brave enough to express other ways! How beautiful...
