Marcel Duchamp because he didn't get caught up in his creations; art and beauty are fleeting.

Dali was amazing. But my style leans more towards Monet.

"Sentier dans les coquelicots, île Saint-Martin" is one of my favorites. I also love "La Seine à Vétheuil" and "Sous les Peupliers, effet de soleil" and "Le Bassin aux nymphéas" and another in that series, "Le Bassin aux nymphéas, iris d'eau"

His use of color and his beautiful flowers and landscapes take my breath away.

I thought you were talking about musical artists. Guess I should read the whole question next time.

Van Gogh. The thick brushstrokes he used in a lot of his works give the illusion of movement. Plus, he died broke and crazy, and today his paintings sell for millions a piece? Gotta love that.

Dali's one of mine too. But I have to go with Picasso. If you've seen any of his early work, you know that he was also a genius. He once said "the hardest thing of all to draw is the human form in a single line".
He did it, and mastered it.

I'm not a connoisseur, but I kind of like Bob Ross, the late PBS-TV painting guru. He does landscapes with such ease, it's unbelievable. Don't forget to put in some happy trees, wherever you think. I realize that this form of painting is not comparable to the masters, but my eye tells me otherwise. I guess I would never be an art critic, sorry.

Yes I love Salvador Dali's work! The Dali museum in St. Petersburg Florida is amazing! I also love Maxfield Parrish's work, so ethereal...
