Probably Magritte, I like surrealism. I also respect Braque and Duchamp.

I quite like Francis Danby (Irish painter from the 18th/19th century), his lighting and shadow effects are spectacular.

It has to be Pablo Picasso. Van Gogh is my second favourite.

That's a hard one...I also love Francis Danby, he is from the same area I'm originally from, so I'm fairly familiar with his work. I also love Van Gogh, Bernini, Magritte, Piranesi and Bronzino.

Jackson Pollack - his life and his art - madness/genius!
Gaudi runs him close though sheer genius! |

Call me crazy, but Bob Ross. It may not be the most earth shattering, but he certainly knew how to bring personality to his work. I doubt I would have ever gone into a gallery if he hadn't stoked my fire for art appreciation.

William Holman Hunt, a pre-Raphaelite whose most famous works include 'The Awakening Conscience' and 'Light of the World'. There is always a story behind his paintings and they open up your mind to new revelations.
For truly expanding your mind beyond the materialistic, I love Jackson Pollock, particularly Autumn Rhythm (Number 30) |

Depends on my mood at the time, I like Hieronymous Bosch for the complexity and detail in his paintings and Magritte because he is so different.

I was pointed in direction of Thomas Kinkade and i must say i really like his paintings .His cottages and uses of light make for great prints and in the Uk you can get them as jigsaw puzzles too , which is a passion of my Mum who lives in a cottage in Cornwall and she likes them too .I have put a link to his website.

Love Salvador Dali, especially the "Hallucinogenic Toreador". Also like a bit of Chagall as his pictures are very dreamlike and his use of colour is like wow.!
