Hello all

I tested out a trial copy of Adobe Illustrator and quite liked it (seemed easier to use than Photoshop). I wondered whether anyone could recommend where I could get hold of a cheap (but legal) version of the software? I did have a look at Ebay but there seem to be a lot of extremely cheap copies of the software...which makes me wonder about the legitimacy.

Thanks for your help.

There are two ways to obtain a cheap, but legal copy. One would be trough a student/educational institution, but that's only applicable if you are a student. Just google around for educational discount software and I'm pretty sure that you'll find an amazing deal of discounts.

The other way is to buy the whole creative suite, which might seem expensive, but if you use at least two programs, like say Photoshop and Illustrator, it's cheaper than buying them individually. Plus you get even more apps like Indesign and Acrobat....
Siggie!

Thanks for the response Domen. It may be worth me getting the Creative Suite as I am sure that I can put some of the other packages to good use. I am a member of the Open University and I think that means I am able to claim an educational discount (as long as I do not use the software for commercial purposes).

You could always look out at old flea markets and whatnot. I was lucky to find my copy of photoshop 7.0 working there with everything fine. I guess i was just lucky that day. And no it wasnt a bootleg copy it was real.
