Hello, I have just recently stumbled upon a very good deal on a website which includes 2 years free hosting and I am currently working on it. The site is a joke website and it is missing one important thing (besides the jokes). I have a layout which came with it but I would like to make a unique logo that would blend with it very nice. The site is www.jokeswarehouse.org

I have went to some font generators on the web and made glowing text and it came out pretty cool but I would like to make something special and unique myself. What software (that is free) should I get to do this?

Where could I get a free trial of Adobe Photoshop 2?

Regards,
Brendah

I don't know alot about this type of stuff but if I were to choose one to use I would use Adobe Photoshop 2. I tried a trial offer on it for a week and it was great and easy to use!

The best bet would be to use Adobe PhotoShop 2 as everyone else said. There is a free trial offer on www.adobe.com if you wanted to try it out, definately a good investment.

I just purchased Adobe PhotoShop 2 and started using it. I didn't understand a thing so I had to read a tutorial guide online, but after reading it I tried to make a logo and to my surprise it was a wickid logo. Worth the money, a long term investment!

I don't like Adobe programs, I myself use Xara, a little more advanced then Adobe PhotoShop but it is way better quality and more "bang for your buck"

I am not sure that Xara 3D is more advanced that Adobe Photoshop, but as a menu-driven piece of software, it is pretty straightforward to use.

Unlike Photoshop, the program is specifically for creating 3D text and images. There are a number of special effects that you can use, as well as applying animation techniques that are normally associated with more sophisticated programmes such as Flash MX.

I think you can get a free trial of Xara 3D and is it a lot cheaper to buy than Photoshop!

I remember using a trial of Xara 3D a very long time ago. The company has been around a while and developed quite a client base. The interface wasn't so difficult and the end result was decent considering it had been my first attempt. The program, at least when I used it, had given me a good 3D image quickly and painlessly.

I have come across some 3D modelling software called "Maya" and it seems to be quite sophisticated in nature, and relies on skeletons and meshes. It may be best to stick with a simpler one.
