Mine is Olga in an Armchair (1917)

Why? Because it shows that Picasso - who spent much of his career pursuing new ideas (cubism, collages, new ways of depicting objects) was also a naturally good painter, even very early on in his career. This is a portrait of his young wife, the Russia ballerina Olga, and it is a beautifully executed piece.

I don't think I have one painting by Picasso as my favorite, but I have always loved "Boy Leading A Horse" The link below is a bad copy that doesn't really capture the color and size - it's about 6 feet tall.
http://www.abcgallery.com/P/picasso/picasso183.html

So many of Picasso's works have been photographed , turned into posters, made into cheap prints- that it,oftentimes, minimizes the power of the original. (Guernica is a prime example). Picasso needs to be seen "in the flesh". I love this particular painting because of the connection between the boy and the horse. At first glance you may not notice that the boy is leading the horse without a lead rein or rope. The connection is so, at once,
physical and emotional.
