Anything made by hand rather than by machine. The term applies frequently to artifacts (eg. pottery, woven stuff etc).

Items that are made by an person with their own hands and designs, rather than by a machine mass producing identical items and then finished by a person.
Handmade items are unique and therefore probably more expensive............... |

If you show up and unveil a nice quilt, they'll probably tend to believe you. If it's a Goodyear tire, they may accuse you of it being a knock off, and wonder. Always leave them wanting more. That's the key to success.

Anything made without the use of machines. While the maker may use tools in the manufacture, those tools must be of the manual--human powered--variety.
