Collage (From the French: coller, to stick) is regarded as a work of visual arts made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. Use of this technique made its dramatic appearance among oil paintings in the early 20th century as an art form of groundbreaking novelty.

An artistic collage work may include newspaper clippings, ribbons, bits of colored or hand-made papers, portions of other artwork, photographs, and such, glued to a piece of paper or canvas.

basically, getting alot of diffent objects and mixing them together to make art.

A combination of pictures pasted on a piece of paper. Usually clipings from a magazine or newspaper/periodical etc. LIke if i had a theme about celebrities, I'd just cut out some of my favorites and paste them all together on a piece of paper or paper board. But you have to place them together so the paper's touch. Otherwise, it's not a collage. Kinda overlap them.

This is a compilation of things that represent you. Get a large piece of poster board and cut pictures out of magazines depicting the things that you like to do, and that you feel would give someone else an idea of who you are. You say it has to do with "adult roles", so I would use something that shows how you feel about parenting, jobs, and the kind of future you want for yourself. Paste the pictures all over the poster board at odd angles and over-lapping each other. This is what makes a colage.

A collage (that's how it's spelled) is basically a messy, random montage of photos and objects that describe what the collage is to be about. So, you could cut out a photo of yourself, and then take eyes from another picture of yourself and glue them on, then a mouth from a different picture, and so on. You can cut clothes out of magazines, and put them with your head. Also, say you like puppies, you could get a picture of your dog ,or just some random dog, and glue it on there. Same goes with the rest of your interests. In a band or just like music? Glue down some instruments or a CD cover. Just put things on a paper that relate to you. And it'll look weird at first, but really, collages are some of the most beautiful works of art there are. Hope this helps!

A collage is a series of overlapping pictures on a board (posterboard is fine). You will need: posterboard, a gluestick, magazines, scissors. Place the posterboard (whatever size is required) on a clean, flat surface. Go through the magazines, pull out pages that appeal to you/are representative of your life (fashions you like to wear, hobbies, politics, relationships, cars you like or once had etc. ) Clip out the images that represent you (can be past, present, future). Toss the other stuff out. The images that you clip can be in different shapes, if you like. Collage images are overlapped. Overlap the images, in a manner that pleases you, on the posterboard. Switch them around until you like what you see, posterwise. Then carefully lift off each layer . Using the gluestick, glue each layer on until the entire posterboard is covered. Voila! A great collage.
