Title says a lot about what is happening on the site. It's moving to a new system which will hopefully make it faster and more intuitive to users. Better design, better interface.
Now... what would YOU want to see improved and added in the next version of Artworld? Every little bit of feedback if very appreciated. |

I miss a link that bring you back to the main page (www.artworld.si). Like a "Home"-button. All the big web-sites out there have that.

I miss seeing a random selection of work that members have previously submitted.
It would be nice to see an active box somewhere on the site that cycles through past submissions and you can click on an image and a comment box would open....that way members can keep getting feedback on work long after it's been submitted! ...and maybe members would be interested in getting a little focussed on putting in submissions based on a monthly theme? Give a series of three or four image elements and members have to use two or three of them combined with anything else they want to produce a piece of work. |

Maybe it would be nice, that when you submit a picture it wouldn't get resized. Or maybe if you clicked the image it would open a full-size image in a new windom? just an idea.

Lots of gratituous nudity; a feature that each time a link is clicked, money is sent to patman; and maybe a link to get waffles delivered to your house.
Other than those essential features, I like the site as it is! |

[font=Arial][size=7]My opinion is Just that, and no offence intended to the good people who are putting in a lot of work into this project.
Drop the RED text as it's bad. The home page has become cluttered. IE: "latest artwork" and "latest tutorials" clash and it's not necessary to have so many (thumbs!) images on the page. You can't see the images clearly enough anyway. I want to view all new addition's (and old) as I'm interested in what everybody is creating and will take time to view if the images are presented properly (nice sizes/clarity). As time is not on my side this evening, i have not tested for accessibility and W3C validation but i would hope that all pages are built to the standards that are expected. I personally feel this is very important to any project. keep moving forward and keep up the good work. Later all ! Can't believe I left the "tags" in LOL It's being a very long day. He he...later all. |

Hi all,
well, I said a while ago what I needed to say and things got solved, so I am pretty happy right now... still, I agree about that feature....most viewed images would be nice... and naked men, since somebody complained about the lack of naked women...lol |

About the random shown work - I think it would be better if there is one line like for the latest works insted there are five in the gallery that way you see them right away!
That's it for now |

Not sure that the thorny issue of critiques has ever been resolved. There appears to be very little attempt at dialog with the creator. They tend to be hey I like this or I don't like that, perhaps you could........
Beauty being in the eye of ......................., and all that. Subjectivity will always haunt this endevour While I regularly visit the site in a voyureistic way (not logged in) to view the art work. I am un easy about pontificating on the merits or otherwise of members creations. What credibillity do I have? Does anybody know me or what I do for a living, hidden behind the nom de plume "hod" and if asked would I, or anybody else tell you the truth? As to the posed question. Perhaps like the sub sections of photography, digital art, traditional etc. a tick box " do you request comment" or what advice do you seek. might be helpful. There is certainly a wealth of works displayed on this site which deserve far more than is often afforded. My silence does not mean that I do not enjoy the view. Perhaps I've not yet found the means or confidence to be more active. |

Well to be honest it's very hard to critecise an art work! acualy you can't! it's hard to know what an artist had in minde when he was working on an pic. ! Usually we comment on the way it was made and it's technics! It' pritty hadr to influence on someones imaginaotion but you can impruve his technics!
Did i made any sence? |

I haven't been around in a while.
I came looking for photoshop tutorials and I love the video section. Would love more. Only did one contest and I also had a friend join that contest, Neither of us bothered coming back too much after that. Not that we didn't win but the "helpful" comments and overall attitude. Not just with ours but, well, overall. It sounds really bad to say but after that experiment, I'm not wildly interested in comments and feedback. I do what I like and don't much care what other people think. Tis art, after all. Now if I were selling my stuff here, THEN I'd care. So the former post with the suggestion that one can have a check box to avoid unwanted or negative comments would be good for me. Then, the first time I posted in a discussion, someone decided to take it wrong and get an attitude. Sigh. That was a turn off to the entire site for me, and my friend. I'm one of those happy people who loves everything about being alive and all that... sing, dance, and frolic in the flowers. Don't want to fuss and fight. The other thing is that I'm not wild about weird stuff, like headless bodies and bloody eyeballs. Seems lots of people on the site like gross stuff, and that's fine. There needs to be a place online for artists of disturbing stuff. The word Surreal seems to mean the same thing as death, pain, sorrow, torture, and so forth to many people. Some of it is outstanding work and well done. But no matter how well done, often the subject might be just plain ugly to my eye. If I want ugly, I've got TV and the evening news. I'm looking at the artistic perspective. IMHO, ugly themes in art (anywhere not just here) aren't a comment upon the human condition, but just old news rehashed in a new environment. Ugly is easy to find. It's everywhere, but beauty is much harder. and surreal beauty is really hard. So, neither me or my bud fit in here. But I love those Lombi Tuts. You could read me bedtime stories, too. Love your voice. Now, back to my flower frolic. |

i would like to see a lil less clutter on the header. maybe just have featured artwork instead of a big list of latest artwork. Also the tutorial section, have it a lil. more organized. maybe a screen shot of the tutorial.

just like to tell you, nonovan, you're not alone. i would say i'm a more of a marshmellows and roses type of person as well. but i also really like seeing everyone's work. some of the darker stuff is also incredibily detailed and if the subject matter is mot my cup of tea, well at least i can appreciate the amount of effort that went into them.
about the site, i personally love the thumbnails of the latest artwork. for just browsing, getting an idea about what people are working on, it's a lot of fun. and there's always something there for everyone, even for those of us frolicking in the flowers. in general, really love the site, but i know there's tons of stuff i haven't even seen yet. |
