I have a logo that I am creating for a non-profit, environmental company and was wondering what colors would be most effective to use?
Any help is much appreciated :-) M I am actually looking at including embossing in the logo design itself. The best example I could find I found here http://blog.simpleplants.com/?p=38. This project really needs to look defined, simple and natural. I agree with comments made so far in terms of using green. The nature of this company is a composite testing facility/ test lab of waste products that get recycled into consumer products. |

Green, of course.
I think it'll be better if you also make a rainbow color. |

I guess it depends on whether you want the colors to symbolize an ecological theme or whether you want the colors to stand out and get attention. A combination of white blue green brown and black would be "my choice". But studies have been done of other color combinations to draw the eye in immediately. I recently saw a book at Barnes and Nobles that addressed a number of questions (with examples) related to color and advertising...it is a science and art! Good Luck! Wish I could see it when you are done

Any color with a red hue to it (ie: purple, pink, orange, or RED) will stand out against most backgrounds.

i would say a dark red and a brown-green... might not sound appealing but it looks good
