I was talking to someone on another forum, and the person mentioned vector art. Can someone here take the time to explain vector art in some detail Specially how to use it when you're trying to be, um...creative.

Vector art is more along the lines of using solid shapes to create what you want. Everything is solid colors. Thus, shading will be with the use of a color slightly off of what you want to color not truly shading it, but showing that there is shading if that makes any sense. That's the way I perceive it, but correct me if I am wrong. I don't really do any art that can be considered as so.

Vector art is much about forming and manipulating shapes, with a Pen Tool (in Adobe Illustrator for instance). + what Jeff said.

Thank you the replies, Jeff and Leon. Guess I'll have to do some trial and error, huh? How do you people find the time to do all this art? I've been going through some of the work on this site, and in devart. Simply magnificient.

I dunno true vector art is really time consuming... I would like to find the time to master it, but am way too busy lately.
