so that it is water prooth.
Is the a paint seal spray i can get or something? and are there different seals for different sorts of paint? |

Varnish.
Oil varnish for oil painting and acrylic varnish for acrylic paint. Neither is to waterproof the painting as they already are that. I apply it with my fingertip so no brush-stokes or -hairs get into the varnish. |

Check out the arts and crafts section of any Wal-Mart or find a good art supply store in your area. You want Kamar varnish, by Krylon.

Oil paint doesn't really need anything to make it waterproof because oil is waterproof but if you are painting with acrylics or watercolours you need to protect it. Talk to someone at the art supply store. They will surely know the best product for the job.

You don't seal paintings to make them waterproof. You seal them to protect the surface.
Oil varnish for oil paintings, acrylic varnish for acrylic painting, and nothing at all on watercolors. |
