Which would be your favourite painting of his.
If you do not know a title for it, simply describe it and explain why it attracts you so. Thank you! |

Sunflowers. Its one his paintings that shows a happy side. Most of his work was depressing, since he was.

I have an affection for his self portrait which is in the Detroit Institute of Arts, just because it has become Like a friend.

probably cornfield with crows. i know its his last painting, etc. but i think that even if i knew nothing about it, id still love it for its stark simplicity and pure colours. very expressionistic.

a self portrait, but not the famous one on which he already has only one ear. this was painted earlier, and the background is blue and grey i think and there r light lines around his head like a glory, or water in which u threw a pebbel. those lines expresses him growing old, the nearing death, him decaying. when my art teacher showed it to the class and talked about it after the lesson i stayed in the whole break and was staring at the picture. my teacher was cool, he just kept silent and didnt bother me in my amusment

I like his, "Cafe Terrace At Night". The attraction is the city, night sky, darkness and light all on one canvas. Makes me want to walk into the painting and sit down for a drink.

I love so many of his paintings...but Starry Night really does it for me. It's cool, dark, and magical.
