Hi
My name is Wayne and I hope to chat with some of you on the forums. However for my first post I would like to highlight a few observations, if I may. Firstly the speed of loading the site is very slow which could be caused by my dial up of course, but it doesn't seem to affect visiting other sites on the web and secondly the registration process indicates birthdate as being optional, but I found that not filling in the birthdate to cause an error in registering. Just a few thoughts, shall go and enjoy the forum now. Wayne |

Hi and welcome to the site, Wayne. Hope you enjoy it here.
I am very aware of the loading speeds problem and we are actively working on it. Apart form the new skin that is in development the new version will be losing the flash header which is around 100KB extra load time. Unfortunatelly we cannot strip the images on the left part as that is an essential part of the page. Will look into the birthday thing, thanks for pointing it out! |

Thanks for the reply and thanks for taking the suggestions in a positive way. I see what you mean about the header! That is a lot of KB, but overall the site looks very good. I know what it is like trying to tweak refinements to a website and wish you good luck! The avatar looks fine as well. Believe it or not I am named after the greta man John Wayne and was brought up on a diet of his movies. My mum had a big crush on him!  Wayne |
