Hi all i'm new here. I was wondering if someone could help me with a soft edge effect like a glow on the edges of objects and flowers??

Welcome to the site. I'm not totally sure what you mean by this, could you explain a bit more?
Try using select/feather command after your initial selection. If this is not what youre looking for, then please explain your effect in more detail. Thanks. |

I'm not sure how to explain......i've seen pics of flowers as an example that have had a 'glow' effect that is usually on the edges of the petels and leaves....its the only other way i can expain... :thinkover:

![]() I think that's the soft glow fading out that karltkd is talking about. I'd like to know too. I need a banner which fades out like this. It would be darn cool to get rid of those brutish edges and let the banner fade out. |

In photoshop u can easily get this soft glow effect by just going to the Blending Options -> Outer Glow .. then just mess around with the settings a little until u get your desired effect.
If that's what u meant.. ;) |

You first must cut out the image paste it on the new layer,click two times on that layer to enter blending options,then check Outerglow and click it to go to glow options,then play with the sliders,do the same with Innerglow,I hope I helped
