:thinkover: Hope ive selected the right room to ask this question
Would like advice on which is the best way to make a selection around areas with fine detail like a head with hair fluttering in the wind for instance or maybe trees with ample detail. Thanking you in advance Cheers Peter |

This is incredibly difficult and is really dependant on the picture that you choose. First you should check out the really well written Extracting Images With Photoshop Tutorial done by nelchee.
It covers all the tools that Photoshop can offer you out of the box. I would also suggest taking a look at a great tool called Fluid Mask: http://www.vertustech.com I will be writing a review of this and well have a competition to win one licence for it Tell me if this helped you or ask again :aww: |

Lombi, i thank you for those links . Have checked them out and requested the free download for the free trial tutorial on fluid mask.
Have no problems extracting an image via masking selecting, its just where there's detail in an image and i want to make a selection and maintain/retain the detail like hair as earlier mention and instead of extracting for instance i may want to blur the background or edit it to some degree that i have problems with. Will have a look into the trial tutorial and let you know how i go. Again i thank you very much Volvo |
