Today in my Humanities class, our pop quiz was to find a piece of art on campus and write a brief essay about it. Nothing too detailed, as this was only the third class, but a general discription to help with our first major essay. So, we split off into groups and went in search. My group found the painting that we wanted to focus on, and we wrote about it. However, I have no idea what this painting is [as in a title or who painted it]. I'm really curious about it, and would appreciate any help finding it's name or painter, or any other information on it. I'm not even sure if it's a major piece--It might just be a students artwork...But, it's worth a shot. I've uploaded the image to ImageShack and have provided the link below. The painting is called "The Anatomy Lecture of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp" created by Rembrandt in 1632, oil on canvas, 169.5 x 216.5 cms

The original can be found in the Mauritshuis, The Hague, Holland.
