my friend is really creative, artsy, draws, paints, loves photography. I really want to get her something she'll love! I can't think of anything. What would make a great gift for her?

I'm an artist and the best possible present I could get would be a generous gift certificate to my favorite local art store or to an online store. Artists always need supplies and the cost of them can be daunting and keep us from doing the work we love.
Here are some great online art supply places that do gift certificates (and they're discount places, so your gift goes further) in case you don't have a local store: http://www.cheapjoes.com/ http://www.jerrysartarama.com/ http://www.dickblick.com/ |

Well, artists general enjoy the work of other artists so you could buy her a ticket to an exhibition at a museum or studio of an artist or movement she likes or if you can find something unique or interesting at a craft fair/show, that'd work too. If that sound it'd take more time then you have you could always get her art supplies. A sketch book is always a good standby, especially the kind that are nicely bound. Also if she likes drawing, I don't know an artist who would say no to a set of Prismacolors (amazing brand of colored pencils).

Unique art gift is the best present.
There is a web site – http://www.photoartomation.com/ArtWork.htm , they convert a digital photos into paintings of different art styles and print them on canvas. My friend sent them a picture and they turned it into beautiful piece of art. I saw it and it really looks good. |
