Not a bad thing to be obsessed about unless the career that you are thinking about involves criminal activities or is causing you so much stress that you suicidal. Anyhow, can you be a tad bit more specific about the career that you are pursuing at the moment, there are people who could perhaps help you out.

Obsessions are based in fear. Are you fearful of not being successful? Some people are afraid of success. At any rate the purpose of a career should be to make it possible for you to enjoy life. If your career concerns have to do with pleasing other people or meeting the expectations you think other people have for you then you're walking a rocky road. Think about your career as an opportunity to live your life doing something you love to do. Think about the pathway of your career as a process of maturation. Your viewpoint and your goals change as you mature. Every time you learn something new, your path gets tweeked a little bit. Don't get so stressed about the future that you miss the present!
