about $25
3 flood light domes
a pack of true white lights florecent works too.
3 peices of foam board (u can use 4)
a peice of thin drawing paper ( or roll of paper) for a curved backdrop
and a yd. of a good thick silk like fabric i found at walmart.
Mine has a top light with the top fabric. i think i may cut a section out the back and make a place for a nother light for backlighting.

Looks good Jason, maybe a little over-exposed but nothing irrepairable

Great tips...thanks. It's what i want to do too as i have 2 studio lights. But what my idea is to get some heavy duty white nylon,(if poss) lit the stuff used for the shoot through brollies we use for lights, to make a frame of some sort so i can shoot through the nylon. I found some pure white backing paper at my local DIY store. Ain't photography great when you have equipment......

Thanks for the fantastic information. I have been looking for a light box and never thought of building one my self. I have either found them not to be what I was really looking for it just made too cheaply. I think this is the answer I have been seeking. Thanks for the website I will let you know how it goes.
