I would like to sell a few paintings of mine, mostly oil and acrylic. I prefer to do so online since I don't know any nearby resources (live in south bay area in CA). I found some sites on the Internet such as Yessy and Artwanted but am unsure whether people have success selling their work in such sites. Can you please recommend some sites that you know about or have had success with? Also, if you know of a local art broker, then I could use that contact as well.

I can only create a piece or two a month and would not mind paying a commision.

Thanks.

I have an account with Art.com, it have two sites where beginning artists are able to sell their work online and it's free. They will also make and sell your prints for free all you have to do is add your images and invite people to see them.
Art Rising.com http://www.artistrising.com/ is a site out of Art.com, it is probably what you are looking for also Sistino http://www.sistino.com/ is the site you can go to and see your artwork being sold along with other artists. Both sites are born out of Art.com

You live in the Bay Area. If you dont want to go online then start asking around at local coffee shops, restaruants, stores. The Bay is big on art and connections are everywhere. If your only creating 2 paintings a month it may be hard(Or take awhile) to have your own show, but there is always big shows you can squeeze into with lots of other artists. Online would easier, yes, but its fun trying to peddle your product.
