im in ap art history and we need to do like a project about a famous artist and know its birthday
but i don't know who..but i want somebody similar to van gogh any advice who??? |

He isn't like Van Goh, but I think Andy worhol (I think thats how you spell it) would be interesting. He's the one who did the campbells soup can drawings and then changed the colors of them. (I forget the term used for that). If I think of anyone else, I'll let you know!

Van-Gogh was a post-impressionist painter. Here are some other painters that are also post-impressionists:
Paul Cezanne, Georges Seurat, Paul Gauguin and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Here are some books on the movement: Post-Impressionism: From Van Gogh to Gauguin by John Rewald, Post-Impressionism:Cross-Currents in European and American Painting, Post-Impressionism by Bernard Denvir, and The Post-Impressionists: A Retrospective Also, in my opinion, the works of Claude Monet are beautiful. The Encyclopedia Britannica would be a great resource for your research. |
