but those days are passing We had a party called "Killabeatz" wich was a HUGE succes and we made alot of profit from it. We're planning to do "Killabeatz 2" ("Killabeatz the Sequal") this year 2005. (Belgium) If you haven't heard of Drum 'n Bass yet... well... you should! :happy2: Here's a lil' something called: "Drum 'n Bass" Drum n' bass is control versus chaos: hi-fi-sci-fi beat programmes that expand and contract, roll and squeeze, rinse out and explode to generate physical abandon on the floors. Is drum n' bass the music of the aftermath or just the music of now? Years after rave's chemical countdown pushed new sounds into being drum n' bass functions both in the comedown for older soldiers while all over the planet fresh kids take it as their sound of choice. Drum n' bass is old and new, drugged and clean, veteran and fresh, black and white, pop and underground, ambient and hardcore, ever-expanding, changing, mutating, rolling and moving. Destination unknown. :sing: My top 5 Dj's :sing: 1. Aphrodite 2. Dj Marky 3. Dj Zinc 4. Dillinja 5. Shy FX |

That might be vaguely true, but it on the other hand might not. The emergence of internet download stores like itunes still do not transform illegal file sharing into a legal thing, no matter what they do.
But on the other hand you are correct - in P2P people usually get busted for uploading mp3 content rather than downloading. |

1. I'd like to see an article on it (from a reliable source, not something like John's Filesharer Weekly.) 2. Even if, it's still wrong. Support your artists. I'm 17, hardly work and own nearly 100 CDs, all that I've bought within the last year. |

http://www.kazaa.com/us/help/new_100percentlegal.htm Using a P2P program is legal. However, they say that you are responsible for what you download. As long as you get a good client without spyware like SoulSeek (win) or Nicotine (lin). You should be fine downloading however Lombi is right in not promoting it on the site. |

Yes, the P2P program itself isn't illegal.
Downloading music is still illegal. However, I do do it (Soulseek is great) to preview certain songs. Downloading whole albums I have a big problem with. |

A lot of the music I listen to I would have to make special trips to atleast like 3 or 4 (probably still won't find it) stores before I found their album, because a lot of the bands I listen to are indy and no one really carries their music.

Patman is completely correct. The articles you are showing is that the programs themselves are not illegal. If you are downloading and sharing copyrighted material you are of course doing something illegal.
Another example of this would be if you had a car. Having a car is of course not illegal, killing a person with that car will get you in prison though. |
