Skelton's clown paintings were ugly and may not have been selling. Did the family make this story up to save face?

As with many artists the paintings may not appeal to all people.
I myself would like a landscape over a Rembrant or Picaso any day (for the picture, not the value) Many people buy paintings because of who painted them, not how good they are or how nice they look. I believe they were stolen. |
