before i start paiting i wanted to be sure i am doing this right to make brushes clean :
When i am done paiting, i will rinse brushes with lukewater ( not hot ) and laundry powder in it and then dry it with a clean cloth gently. Is that right ? Thank you in advance |

I just take my brushes to the sink and rinse and brush them across a bar of good hand soap and rinse again leaving just a little of the soap in the brush. If I mistakenly let the acrylic paint dry on the brush I use a little hand lotion first and work it into the brush then wash with my same bar of soap. My brushes are all sable or other types of animal fur which are not harmed by this.

The most important thing is NEVER let the paint dry in the brush. Keep the brush wet at all times by laying in a shallow bath of water. Do not stand them in a jar or you will spoil the points. Wash out with good handsoap working well into the base of the bristles/ hairs. I have sable brushes that have lasted 50 years. Buy the best and look after them.
