Not sure what "material canvas" actually is. Short answer: yeah, probably, but artist-quality canvas will likely produce better results.

As long as the service is Gessoed u can use about anything.
Gesso is found just about anywhere |

no idea what materials canvas is but double primed/gessoed duck cotton canvas works perfectly.

Yes, you can use acrylic paint on canvas.
Canvas paintings make great gifts. |

Yes you can use material canvas for acrylic paint, me and my wife use it often, specially when we first started painting, as we didn't want to spend much on expensive canvas, and end up with a messy painting> we actually used a wooden board, (MDF) and cut the material an inch longer from each side. and we glued it from the surface, and all the sides. but surely never use water base glue or what they call white rabbit glue, as it would loosen and open when you use acrylic paint mixed with water.. just try it on a small wood, when you see good results, you can paint your parents painting. good luck
