I have a number of Indian friends and have been watching Bollywood films with them for well over twenty years. I have absolutely no understanding of Hindi, Gujarati or Punjabi but I know exactly what is going on in the films without subtitles. When one of my friends introduced me to them nearly thirty years ago he said 'Indian films are still where American films were in the Forties' - not changed too much but some Indian film stars are becoming mainstream international stars - I am actually in love with Aishwarya Rai.
Who else watches these? |

I have never actually seen a proper Bollywood film, but I did enjoy the Guru which I think was trying to be an American film but with Bollywood influences.
The premise was that the main character was an Indian spiritualist imparting his many words of wisdom. There were plenty of dancing scenes in the film and Heather Graham looked stunning in a sari! Bollywood films look like good fun! |

Bollywood is the best! Because its normally feel good based, you can't go wrong. Bush Ash... She's stunning, try Bipasha Basu, cute too. What Bollywood movies have you watched? I can recommend ANYTHING by Karan Johar. Great director. Oh, by the way, I looove Sharuk Khan, real hunny. But I seem to be straying toward Arjun Rampal. Mmmm...

One of my favourite films is actually Devdas. I've watched it about 4 times, and each tie I cry, coz I know Sharuk dies miserably! Sorry to every1 who hasn't watched it, thee's a spoiler right there. Have you watched Khabie Alveda Na Kehna? Its coz I've watched Khabi Khushi, Kuch Kuch, even Kal ho na ho. I love Karan Johar... |

The Guru? I hated that movie. It wasn't funny at all. But I agree that Heather Graham looked stunning!
Aishwarya Rai is super gorgeous. Isn't she Bollywood? I never knew that. I don't watch Bollywood much. Sometimes I watch only because their music is great. |

I watched a film by a director named 'Mani Ratnam'. It was a long, long time ago. A film called Nayakan. End of the film, the thought occured to me that this was the way films are supposed to be made...Forgive me if got any names wrong, because I haven't watched a Bollywood film for many years now.
