id like to have one of a pregnant woman looking down @ her belly, w/ her hand on her belly/ or a fathers hand pointing down from top of pic, and a childs hand pointing up frm bottom of pic, both finger tips touching/ w/ maybe a spark at the finger tips, what do you think of that?

A child or couple in a bed in the dark with nothing but the moonlight reflected across the bed.

well, it depends... Work with charcoals, you can blend with the charcoal and get different grades of shadows. If you want strickly black and white, I would suggest finding a scene with a lot of negative space, set up a still life with wooden chairs that have spindles for the backs and the legs. Draw, and shade in the negative space, not the positive. You will be left with an unusual piece that suggests that the chair might have actually been cut from the scene.

You can use black and white for anything. The black can be used for shades and the white can br used for tints. I f you wanted, you could uses different greys in the middle. Paint an object and put a light on it to get the difference between the dark and light. I'm taking painting know and my professor gave us some advice. Hope this helps. It should look really creative that you are using just black and white.
