Type 'contemporary artist' into Wikipedia, and it will give you a fairly comprehensive list. Take your pick.
Particularly famous ones? Damien Hirst, Olafur Eliasson, Tracy Emin, Andy Goldsworthy, Chuck Close, Donald Judd, Anish Kapoor, Jeff Koons, Bruce Nauman, Grayson Perry, Rachel Whiteread... Bear in mind that a few of these are also thought of as 20th century artists, but if they're still working then I guess that makes them 21st century artists too. |
