Comment posted What camera should I buy? by Lombi.
The lenses of Olympus are good, but pretty expensive. The image quality however is very inferior to that of either of the three I mentioned. Mostly due to smaller sensor size. And inferior sensor

- It really depends on the amount of money you’re willing to spend on a camera and then the subsequent amount of money you are willing to invest in your hobby as the time goes by.
If there is some money involved I would suggest picking out one of the entry-level cameras such as the Nikon D50 (my fav) or the Canon 400D. The new Sony DSLR (A100) is also a good choice, but Canon and Nikon are the most logical ones due to the amount of gear you can purchase and the definite future of the two systems.
- What about olympus? I heard it’s quite alright? specially with lenses… But I think I’ll get myself a canon when i get a hold of some money
- What about a Leica M8?:) (since you don’t mention any price range :wink)

- Thank you for the recommendations. I checked out the cameras you mentioned. It’s definitely more expensive than the cameras of any of the people I know (they are not photographers anyway). But I can shell out money for this. Funny, all the cameras I ever owned were from Sony. I don’t think I’ll be buying Sony this time.
I have checked Amazon and Leica M8 is not yet available. How much is it anyway?
- Around 6000$, for Leica M8.
