So, if my work is 768x1024 pixels and resolution is 300 dpi and if I scale it to A4 with constrained proportions would I then loose the quality in the image?
I can't work directly on A3/A4 because my computer becomes very slow. |

Of course you would. That's the sole purpose of having a bigger file.
If you want big prints then make a bigger file in the start. |
