I believe i'm pretty proficient with photoshop, but this has got me stumped. When i bring up the text tool and try to type something i can't see the text. I know its not the size and i've looked through all the settings i can think of, but i can't see any text. Its not the color either. I've restarted the program and my comp but still nothing. When i type something on a layer and ctrl+click on it, it says no pixels were selected, even though the layer name changes to whatever i typed. Any help with this is appreciated.
BTW im using photoshop cs2 |

Okay so when you type something and hit enter (not return) does the layer name change to the stuff you wrote or does it default to "layer x" ?

Sorry if I offend you but does the color of the font match the background by any chance?
Also try: once the text is written do a ctrl+t and see where the bounding box of the text is. |

Try using a standard windows font, that would rule out a font corruption.
Also, make sure (by right clicking on the text tool in the toolbox) that you're using Horizontal Text, and not the masking ones - Just in case. |
