Hi, I have a Gibson SG that was broken, I am gonna rebuild it and at the same time, I wanna do a custom paint job. I'm wondering if I could use an automotive paint on it If I have a good Primer, and also, what kind of paint should be used if not?

a very fine wood paint or varnish is good. check with a music store.

yes auto paint will be good
spray carefully and then a polyeurathane type varnish good luck |

you should use a varnish, it will give it a nice finish and auto paint also works
