RedRiver asked this question on the artcone forums: i just got black oil paint all over my shirt..i have tried washing clothes with oil paint on it before..but it is tricky to get out..anyone know of any special cleaner?

just try using oil paint thinner. You can find it in little tubes in the art isle. Oil paint can only be cleaned with cleaners that have turpentine. hope it helps.

Ordinary paint thinner should do it. I’ve also found naptha excellent at cleaning all sorts of things. You can get both at a hardware store. Then later you’ll probably want to have your shirt thoroughly washed or dry-cleaned to get those chemical cleaners out of it. See the following links for more info:

Mineral spirit, or paint thinner BUT most of the times the clothing wont look as good as before.

terpentine u can buy it @ an art shop=)
