soak your water color paper, put in a board, use a paper tape, let it dry, ...presto, your water color paper is as good as painting in a wall,...it will never wrinkle, and you can wet it as much as you want without worrying

You could wet your paper well and press it down by either stapling it or by using brown tape to stick it to your board. That will prevent the paper from warping. The heavier your watercolor paper, the less chance of it buckling. Any paper which is over 300 pounds does not buckle and can be painted on without wetting it before painting and without tape or stapling.

first, warping is when something isn't straight. in water color its called cockling. masking tape wont stop it from cockling in the center so, u should paint on water color blocks. these have the paperes sticked together and can be removed with razor blade.

Stretch your paper. I submerge mine in the bathtub for a minute or two, and then staple it onto a piece of birch plywood that I had cut to the right size for watercolor paper (22"x30").

After the paper is dry, I tape over the staples with masking tape, so the paint won't puddle up around the staples and make my life difficult.

The birch ply is pricier than pine, but you can get several different small and large boards out of one sheet. Mine have lasted for years.
