Yes, some studies have shown that bright pastel colours can improve mood, while very strong or dark colours can have an adverse effect.
White, pale green and pale blue have often been thought of as beneficial to health, possibly because they’ve got a freash, clean appearance. In Georgian and Victorian times dining rooms were often painted blue as this was thought to have a good influence on the digestive system!
Most definitely. My one daughter’s bedroom is painted light blue, and I always feel cold in there. My other daughter’s room is a sunny yellow, and it always feels warm and inviting. I’ve been places where the walls are red, and it makes me feel agitated. Wearing those type of colors make me feel the same way, too.
Sure. Years ago Chevron spent thousands and thousands of dollars to come up with a color for their gas station rest rooms. They played with different colors before they came up with the light blue they use now. Why, because they found out in tests that people tend to be more relaxed in a room that color, do their business, then leave just as relaxed. All other colors used caused people to throw trash, leave a mess and other bad things. Somewhere I remember reading a list of the different colors they used and what happened in the rest rooms that were painted those different colors. So, yes, colors do effect how you feel.
Absolutely. I surround myself in colour in places where I like to be. I wear black when I’m at work. I wear bright colours in my free time. If i need cheering up, I use colour to do so. I associate colour with emotions.
Definitely! I find greys, black and all earthy colours very calming. I find very bright colours very disturbing and stressful (in fashion in particular)
yup definitely! colour psychology is effective. reds, orange, yellow are warm and fiery too. radiates energy if u feel run down and tired. light/sky blue is dreamy, floaty etc. certain patterns make you feel things too like spotty or striped or patterned etc.
Definitely, colors influences not only how u feel but your environment as well. If u painted ur walls red, u get a feeling of always a rage or angry. Blue would make you feel more calm and serene. Black would be gloomy, white makes u almost feel clean always and so on and so forth….
I believe that colours definitely affect how you feel. Someone once told be that you could make yourself feel better by wearing brightly coloured nail varnish. I tried this out and wore bright yellow nail varnish and every time I looked at it I felt better and smiled. Its strange but it true and now if I’m feeling down, I paint my nails a bright colour
Think about the 7 Chakras which all have different colors and different affects in the mood and how one can concentrate on a certain color of the Chakras to change mood, gain energy etc. Plus there is color therapy which would say most definitely
Oh yes!
Red is for the lower body great for sexual energy, creates romance and love. Orange for the bladder and secondary sex organs, a great social colour fantastic for making friends. Yellow for the solar plexus opens the lower lungs liver and upper intestines, very harmonious in the home.Green or Pink are for the heart and the emotions, green will speed up healing, be warned it will increase cancer growth.Turquoise is fab for the throat and allowing things to be said, perhaps a little cool in the home. Midnight Blue is beautiful for the brow area and helping clear thought and perception. Purple is magic for the connection to the spiritual realms and meditation. Enjoy!

Yes. Hot colors make most people anxious and or cranky. Cool colors tend to make them feel peaceful.

I painted my apartment light grey once.
It was a cloudy day that lasted for three years, until I repainted.
