I assume you want to convert a PDF or Illustrator file into an image that you want to put in an HTML file using DreamWeaver?
Method A)
1) Open your file in Illustrator
2) Go to File > Save For Web
3) Save your file as a JPEG or GIF file
Now you should be able to place the image in DreamWeaver
Method B)
1) Launch Photoshop
2) Open the PDF or Illustrator file
3) Photoshop will present you with a dialog to specify the size as resolution of the file (Photoshop can rasterize PDF files as AI files saved with PDF)
4) Save the file as a GIF or JPEG file
If you actually wanted the AI file or PDF file on your website for download, then you need to upload the file to the webserver and create a linke to the file.
